I'm amazed we got you to concede that Houston isn't in the national title conversation. Small steps.

It's amazing we've invented a controversy out of your ranking of Houston in the 5-6 range of the conference.

I can't wait to see how much credit we get if we lose to OSU by around 20.

Apparently less credit than you're giving to USF for losing by 49 to Wisconsin or ECU losing by 28 to NCST vs. Tulsa losing by 21 to Michigan State.

I'm taking into account preseason still pretty heavily in my ranks. Everyone has their own methods. There are a few on here doing just actual results. I obviously didn't have much faith in Tulsa preseason. ECU is certainly a debatable one to put over them but I gave them a little credit for changing coaches. I also really think MSU is highly highly overrated.

I'll give Tulsa major credit for playing well any of their next 3 games. A road game then a couple solid challenges await.

I can tell you, the MSU defense isn't underrated. I've never seen Monty's team flat out not be able to run the ball. A lot of that has to do with how fundamentally sound MSU's front 7 are.

I also think TU's defense improved a lot over the summer.

1) i dont have a problem wit ranking Houston 5-6...i rebutted him questioning why others were ranking houston high

2) im actually a lot higher on USF than everyone here....everyone here is projecting usf at the bottom. in the game thread, i noted that usf always loses to good teams but wins against bad teams, i see them middle of the pack...and think they have a chance to redeem themselves vs g-tech

3) ncst and Michigan state weren't good last year.... and tulsa has a trend of playing good ooc close in losses potentially feeling good about it only to be trash in the season..... tulsa has to win before i buy any more moral victories, we did this with texas last year..you got to mix it up cant only have one (real/moral)

Absolutely. The MSU defense is elite. It would be easy to throw shade over the Tulsa running stats but that front is rough. The MSU offense though is really bad IMO. No idea how they got ranked to start the year.

I endorse this ranking.

I must agree with this agreement.

I mean the running stats were bad, but they weren't as bad as they're listed. WE had two plays worth -40 yards that weren't even runs. One was a bad hike that went through the back of the endzone. Another was a blocked punt that we ended up falling on. Then we had another -32 worth of sacks from that defensive front.

The RB's accounted for -1 yards on the day overall. Not good, but not as bad as it looks.

MSU started the season ranked one spot ahead of the Wiscy team that USF lost to. They also had a ton of injuries last season, including one to the QB's throwing arm. They're better this year than they were last. The fact that they fell two spots (below Wiscy and UCF) after game 1, could be attributed to the fact that our defense made a healthy offense look like one that had a bunch of injured WR's, RB's, Linemen, and QB. I think that speaks for something of Tulsa's defense. Even if the MSU offense isn't Top 10.

Tulane also got 4 votes for the Top 25 this week in the coaches poll and espn predicts them to go to the armed forces bowl vs FSU or Syracuse.

lol not what i said...
--uc fan said he doesnt see how anyone can rank houston high after that loss
--i simply noted that we played the #4 team in the country, Referencing you have to add quality of opponent in the conversation

- then 4 UC fans came at me after..including you
- i said i hope you guys have this mentality that quality of opponent doesnt matter, so when you lose to ohio state and we beat praire view, i expect yall to rank us higher

i might be a crybaby whiner...but you are in love with me...2 truths we both have to live with
