***The Official AP Voters who hate the AAC Thread*** update 9/4/19
As the ballots get released, lets make a list of voters who leave the AAC off for no good reason.

Week 2:

1. Sam McKewan
https://collegepolltracker.com/football/...019/week-2

He has Miami and Arizona State instead of an AAC team

2. Tom Bragg
https://collegepolltracker.com/football/...019/week-2

He has Virginia and Mississippi State instead of an AAC team

Preseason:

1. Steve Wiseman
1.Steve Wiseman....
2. Dave Reardon
3. Sam McKewan
4. Ryan Aber
5. Tom Bragg

First up Steve Wiseman....
This guy thought it was wise to post his ballot early....
No UCF on the ballot...

He is a complete joke... almost half of his top 10 wont finish top 10 and half of the teams he has ranked won't be there at the end of the season.

16. Nebraska???

How often does a team go from 4-8 to a top 15 program the following year? Not very.. I expect Nebraska to be improved, but I don't see them being top shelf. That being said, as we have seen in the past just by being a "name" school in the Big 10/SEC you can go 8-5 and still finish absurdly high

To be fair, Scott Frost is just the guy to do that

I don’t hold it against anyone leaving us unranked. We’re on our third string QB before the first snap is played. It’s either Wimbush or freshmen. I think we can do it, but we need to prove it.

Yeah, it couldn't have been the fact that he won a national title as QB at Nebraska, beating Peyton Manning, or that he was the QB coach and offensive coordinator who led Marcus Mariota to a Heisman Trophy.

Look, what he did at UCF was nothing short of amazing. But if Scott Frost were to die tomorrow, I'm not sure that "former UCF coach who led the team to their second undefeated season" makes the top 2 sentences in his obituary.

As for the disrespect, given that you're down 2 QB's and now appear to be relying on a guy with a questionable arm in Wimbush, I don't think it's particularly far fetched that you weren't ranked on everybody's top 25.

True but climbing out of the deep hole where AAC teams are voted pre- season, makes an eventual ranking much tougher.

Typical P5 homer with ND in the top 10 to move them into the top 4 within 3 weeks of play if they win all 3 games, and 1 G5 school buried so low it will never make the top 4 for the play off even if it goes undefeated. P5 schools with 1 or 2 loses will be rated higher than an undefeated Boise at year end. Typical story - just follow the money. 07-coffee3

They also won the national championship starting out as the #21 team in the country. Had Houston won out in 2016, they'd have been in the playoff over Washington. For an AAC to win it all, it will take the right combination of strong OOC wins, being perfect and results everywhere. Not saying it's likely, but it's also not impossible.

Yes but it's much, much harder for an AAC team to climb the rankings than an SEC team, that was the whole point if his post.

If you ask me, Scott Frost was the idiot who thought it would be a good idea for pass happy Oregon's game plan be to run the ball right up the gut into the teeth of the Ohio State defense in the CFP championship game.

There’s really no way to know if this is true or not. They could easily just say “Houston only had to play two hard games and didn’t have the weekly grind of a XXX conference schedule.”

We’re not going to get to the bottom of it until we have another season where a G5 can knock off highly ranked P5 teams.... and run the table in-conference.

If you believe we will have QB issues, you keep us out of Top 25. If we have good QB play we are a Top 10 team. I'm fine with the fact that some voters have us unranked, while others have us Top 15.

Houston, Memphis, Temple and Cincy are all criminally underranked IMO. If you include usf we have 6 teams with the talent to make and win a NY6 bowl.
