WSU game tonight
Brannen talked about this in the post game but that last shot where Jarron was ISOd and Vogt peeled our was a tree designed to either 1. Take it to the hole, 2. Hit Tre Scott for the lob (Mick ran this with Yancy Gates a few times) or 3. Send to Jaevin on the wing for a 3. Jarron is so smart he made the decision look easy.

I agree to an extent. The normal offense looks different. We're more aggressive in pushing. We run different style sets early in the shot clock. But late in the shot clock and end of game we look a lot like late game last season.

Btw Cronin talked often about the plan being jarron to run point this year. I think we'd have done it much earlier if jarron was healthy, in condition and playing like Jarron.

We run different set plays out of timeouts and inbounds and we push the pace WAY more. But once in the half court so much is the same. And that is a good thing.

I just watched the conference championship game again from last year this week and it is incredible how similar we look offensively 4 out of 5 times down court.

Some of the delay was Jarron being banged up and some was that it took a while for the staff to figure out all of the new pieces with what they wanted to run.

Not only is Jarron back to being the CPOY Jarron, but you look at guys like Scott who are back to form...he looked like a fish out of water before this switch to Jarron to PG/scorer. Even Diarra looks like a different guy from the system we tried running the first couple months.

Part of the process of a new staff is it’s not always just the players who have to “submit”. Coaches learn what works too and it’s not always how they envisioned it coming in. IMO, this is a testament to the job he’s doing.
