FAU is a good team, but they were never getting in unless they won the conference tournament. Had this been a field of 64 and not 48, I think they get a serious look. I do think that if they had won the automatic bid, Charlotte doesn't get in.

The current makeup of CUSA teams in the NCAA tournament include:

SEC Kentucky
CUSA FIU
AAC Charlotte
Sun Belt Marshall

Two on each side of the bracket is kind of cool. Calling it now. FIU over Marshall for the title.

I for one am cheering for Charlotte to get past Georgetown. We already beat the Hoyas this calendar year and they've done nothing to deserve hosting the Thundering Herd, so I'm game for giving Charlotte one more futile attempt at the Herd.

Thought the 14th seed was a bit ridiculous for a team that was ranked #1 overall just two weeks ago. I get that you took two straight losses but damn that’s rough

RPI dropped to 17th. I thought it was a bit extreme as well, but soccer has so few games, that a couple of losses in a row can really have a major impact. Hopefully Marshall can forget about those two games and play like they have for most of the season now.

I'll say it now but have no dog in the fight anymore since most likely this is our last year as conference mates.

Time for Kevin Langan to go at Charlotte. He is a whopping 3-8 in the NCAAs and has never made it past the 2nd round. The guy just isn't that good in clutch situations.
