It really shouldn't affect their season too much, the recruiting/transfer class is already locked in and O don't believe there were any sanctions moving forward other than probation, which is functionally a written warning. Worst-case is basically that the schedule shakes out in a way where game number 3 is a winnable big-conference opponent and they don't have their head coach for the matchup, but otherwise there's no reason to not roll against low-major buy games (if DePaul really wanted to be cheeky they might sneak in an extra early-season buy game to burn through the suspension) and then you're in the clear.
