What's the benefit for premier programs playing at rural G5 schools?

There is none, but these G5 fans think it should happen just because they want it to.

Don’t you know Clemson has to play at rural Sunbelt teams on weeknights in November as part of a true home and home? Otherwise they’re sellouts.

White (kinda) folded because no one will schedule us in a 1-1 the last 2 years, he mentioned that in an interview. He said "I've called just about every P5 AD that makes sense to play and none have returned my calls".

I think so. I mean sure, had UCF been signing up big-name P5s with 1-1s, then White doesn't fold. But the USF/UCF scheduling philosophy conflict has attracted media attention and comparisons, and USF's ability to sign some high-profile 2-1s cast an unfavorable light on White's inability to do the same with his defiant 1-1 stance.

It was the pressure of USF's scheduling success that cast White's 1-1 failures in to stark relief, that forced the El Foldo.

What was the El Fold that USF brought on.

Are you talking about my typing snafu or USF's way of making money for their school by losing a home game. I just do not see the failure, money wise, for UCF.

USF has completed their schedule out for years in advance have at least 6 home games every year, and in 2 years of those years have 7 home games.

If not having 7 home games each and every year is "losing a home game", then I guess USF has lost a few home games.

USF has 7 home games in 2019, and 2024, and could have 7 in 2023. Every other year, USF has 6 home games.

The UCF fans just hate admitting that UCF has folded on their defiant 1-1 stance, and that USF's scheduling success is a big cause of that.

Not to mention the high profile games at Ray Jay against Florida, Alabama, and Miami. Plus 2024 when you get two P5 home games against NCSU and Louisville.

Meanwhile in the same time frame UCF's "premier" home games are against UNC, Georgia Tech, and Louisville.
