I think Greg Marshall may have missed his window for now. Coach Marshall seem to be waiting on a blue blood program to come calling instead of decent Power 5 programs. State, Ga Tech, UGa or Vandy would have been great programs for him to land. But I think he dead that idea before being contacted. If Keatts can weather the NCAA storm, I don't see NC State looking for another coach anytime soon. Ga Tech is another story.

Marshall is and isn't like Mark Few. He established his program and is king. He his programs just isn't as successful as the Zags. Maybe in time but it seems like the Shockers have stepped back some.

Yep. At his peak, Marshall made the public statement that to pry him away from Wichita..."you'll have to back the Brink's truck up to my front door" or WTTE. He's a cocky dude, though for the most part he has backed it up at every career stop. The AAC lost one of its flagship hoops programs in UConn. I agree he isn't as sexy a pick as a few years ago, though a GT marriage might make sense in 2-3 years assuming Pastner doesn't get it done and runs through his contract period. Marshall still won't come cheap.

FYI... The AAC didn't consider Yukon as a "flagship" anymore.

Most were of the opinion that they needed to get their act together and were showing no sign of doing so.

Yukon had been relegated to the "if they can get back to their old level" category with Memphis and Houston.

Well, Memphis and Houston seemed to get the memo...
