The top 10 OOC games in the ACC
Out of 56 OOC games I narrowed it down to the 10 best:

1 Clemson vs Texas A&M - the Jimbo vs Dabo matches seems like the modern day Bo vs Woody.

2 Miami vs UF - this used to be a heated annual rivalry game until the Gators could not handle getting beat down all the time.

3 FSU vs BSU - BSU has accumulated a lot of notches in their rifle over the years with big wins that include Oklahoma, Oregon, Georgia, Virginia Tech, so hopefully FSU is not their latest victim.

4 NCSU vs WVU - if WVU was in the ACC this should be an annual matchup. I think both universities sport an elite level rifle shooting and bass fishing program. So this just seems right some how.

5 FSU vs UF - this is a classic matchup with both schools in the second year of a rebuilding program. Look for it to be a swing game for the ACC/SEC bragging rights.

6 UVA vs ND - Bryce Perkins vs Ian Book should be a great QB battle. I like UVA to win the Coastal and give ND all they can handle.

7 Pitt vs PSU - The defending coastal champs was embarrassed last year, I’m hoping lessons learned and revenge on their mind powers Pitt to victory.

8 UNC vs USCar - this will be UNCs opening game and our first glimps at the return of the Mack.

9 Duke vs ND - Duke always seems to find a way to slow down a high scoring offense and are well coached. I think this game will be close in the 4th qtr with a possible upset.

10 Pitt vs UCF - UCF is the 2x defending AAC champs and one of the hottest teams the past 3 years.

I would think VT vs. ND would land higher than Duke vs. ND.

I considered it, but I think Duke gives ND a better game. And the potential upset shock would be better if Duke pulled it off.

What about Duke-Alabama? You say shock if Duke pulls it off is a factor.

I’m expecting Duke vs Bama to be a murder. It’s also why I did not list Clemson vs USC or UGA vs GT (though I think this has potential to be close).

To pull the upset you must first have a chance. That game could be alternately called the "Kevin White Dunce Cap Kickoff Special."

ND by 10 over my new domicile teams Virginia and Virginia Tech.

ND by 17 over Duke.

Terry, just win on September 21st. That's all that matters. Win on the 21st and I may drive down God's Country to Mouth of Wilson to bring you some craft beer from Charlottesville.

04-cheers
