What are some of the best places to go and things to do in your school’s town? Where’s the best place to eat?

I'm currently in Athens, Ohio. Plenty of hiking trails or the bike path if you're into that. Really nice lakes for kayaking, canoeing or power boat, but, restricted horsepower. Some good fishing and hunting if that's your thing. Tons of restaurants and bars and a few microbreweries.

Copperheads baseball in the summer is great. It's part of the Great Lakes league, similar to the cape cod league, and the baseball is great. Of course all of the Bobcats sporting events too.

Brew fest is great on Court Street as is Halloween. Just a really cool town to live in. Never gave Athens much thought and now that we live here, we absolutely love it.

I caught a game in Athens a few years ago when the NMSU Aggies came for a visit. It's a nice town

Ed's Seafood Restaurant on Mobile Bay Causeway eating fish & grits, washing it down with cold Michelob draft. Gulf seafood. You just can't beat it. If that doesn't suit your taste, then try Dreamland BBQ on Old Shell Road for a rack of ribs. Dozens of different brands of beer to chose from. Go Jaguars!

It's summer, the shore isn't far from the Rutgers campus. There's a spot for everyone but one of the better places to eat is in Point Pleasant -- the Lobster Shanty.

I don't even like clams but the Clams Casino sounds delicious! Surf and Turf, lobster tail and filet mignon for me with a cold beer to wash it down.

Scarlet Knights!
