lol. doesn't make it any less valid.

3 months from tomorrow 1st day of college basketball. That countdown that I sometimes looked at is already all the way down to #93. Looks like St John's was ranked #110 at #9 in the league.

You should do another thread with the countdown of the rankings. Wouldn't be basketball season without them.

Especially impressive given that half of the league didn’t participate. Would’ve cruised to silver at full strength. All conference team seems to be a good strategy

People that gas up Cooley fascinate me. This statement is the opposite of the truth objectively. If you look at recruiting rankings and place of finish for each team since the realignment of the big east, providence is one of the most underachieving teams but people, besides stever, will say stuff like this all the time. It’s so strange.

Btw I like Cooley, but i feel like I’m taking crazy pills whenever people say something like this, which is frequently

I think part of it is years like what was it now 5 years ago where they won the BET to make the NCAA tourney- that was the year that Dunn went out after 4 games with the shoulder injury and they basically end of year were playing with 6 guys.

my perception with him- he's a guy that is a very take it or leave it guy. They've had a number of transfers thru the years- I know a lot of folks transfer now in days- but it seems like Providence may be a bit over the average on number of transfers. I think the 2 could be related to some degree.
