There are seven D1 football schools within 225 miles of Mobile.

There are no people within 50 miles of Troy.

Not sure what you're getting at... is that good or bad for y'all? Off the top of my head, I've got 20 D1 football schools within 225 miles of Boone, BEFORE counting any school actually in NC.

Cool, now Texas.....which has 20 DI football programs. 15 of those are within 225 miles of TXST. Exceptions are UTEP, Lamar & UNT (both 250) and Texas Tech.

(12 FBS, 8 FCS)

Within 225 miles we have 11 FCS and 4 FBS schools, one of which is P5 (LSU). If you expand that to 300 miles it adds 2 more FCS and 5 more FBS, of which 2 are P5 (Ole Miss & Miss State).

Math can be done . . . is being in a state with low comp vs. being in a state with high comp preferred? At least in a state with high competition there is an opportunity to win!

If Kennesaw State is on the list then GA State must be just outside that distance. Just an observation that serves no purpose

Yup! The outskirts of Atlanta was that 225-mile radius border. Kennesaw State made it in, but Georgia State and Georgia Tech did not.

Napier did a good job in his debut season, but I don't think he has proven himself to be the best coach in the conference yet. I also do not think that Viator is the worst coach in the league. He has a tough job but he continues to produce competitive teams.
