That's awesome. The Atlanta Falcons model. To improve fan experience, AppState should pay attention as our concessions experience is not good.

i agree. They keep talking about butts in seats and making it a family environment. Those prices at our place make it darned near impossible to take a family with kids into the stadium.

Wow you guys have Shrimp & Grits, you guys want to join the AAC? Man those are good prices and the food sounds really good. Compare to ECU concessions where $10.00 gets you a dry hot dog maybe a small bag of chips and a coke. For $20.00 my son and I can eat like kings at your place, compare to ECU where $20.00 gets you no where.

I've never understood how anyone could like grits... I'll pass unless they're covered enough cheese, chives, and bacon to cover up the blandess of the grits.

Sure that many of you have been to the Masters. They have a policy that a vender must price foods at recommended levels which is very modest and if don't, your out. Their idea is you treat your house guests respectfully and the same goes for Masters Patrons. Concessions prices keep many families home and I hope UL is just the first of all conference schools to take this step.

RE: New Concessions pricing model for Cajuns
Not everyone knows this, but USA does not currently run our concessions nor do we have any control over them. They are controlled by the Ladd Stadium Board of Directors and are usually run by church groups and teenagers. USA earns $0 on concession profit. When we are in Hancock Whitney Stadium in 2020 I would expect a much better concession experience. I wouldn’t mind if we followed a similar model as the Cajuns!

At our basketball games.....a $5 souvenir cup of coke or $3 bottle of water. I think they have Powerade, but I don’t recall the price of those.

These concession prices will be good at all Cajun events, EXCEPT basketball.

The Cajundome controls concessions there. It will still cost you your left arm and your first born to eat and drink there.

Smart to follow the Falcons model. More events need to do the same. Atlanta proved you sell and make more by dropping the prices. I know I eat before games but would load up on concession food for these prices.

RE: New Concessions pricing model for Cajuns
One of the things we've done the last few years that I think is pretty nice is mainly just for drinks.

They're called Stadium Cups and they're good at any athletic event for the year. You pay $18 for the cup, this year it was a (20 oz?) stainless steel tumbler which was actually really nice, and then you get $2 refills for soft drinks at any event until the conclusion of sports for that academic year.

I'd love to see some basic concession stuff drop to these prices, but our prices aren't all that bad in the first place. I'd like to see our offerings expanded again though, or maybe mix it up a little each year to have something different.
