Not sure if you are referring to my post or not. If so, I didn't see any odds. I looked at the schedule, combined that with my understanding of the current state of your program and recent lack of success and came up with four wins.

A well reasoned post. Can't fault. ECU has a big hole to dig out of.

I am truly more concerned about how the team looks than win totals after the last 3 year crap show. With the schedule I think we can win 5 games but hell if we win 4 and look much better losing the other 8 I would be happy. I believe Coach Houston is going to be the right fit for ECU. He has won every where he has gone and has a quality coaching staff. Coach Shank is going to be a big piece of the puzzle as our OL is what has caused a lot of our misery with no true running game and the QB running for his life. If Shank can get the OL functional we can win 6 games this year maybe even 7 with some luck. If not this year I have no doubt Shank will do what he always has done every time he has been at ECU and that is put a better OL on the field. No matter what the win total is the one thing certain is the Mo nightmare is over and ECU Football will be back sooner rather than later

I feel like we always lose at SMU and get up for State (save last year which was a unique situation), so I have us beating some teams that are better than some of the teams I have us losing to... but isn't that how it goes?

6-6 won't get you in a bowl with two FCS on the schedule. The floor for eligibility is 7-5 for ECU

Technically, not true. However unlikely, we could win 1 FCS and 5 FBS to make a bowl. But I really hope that doesn't happen.

Here’s a fun fact: Navy, UConn, Cindy, and UCF all have bye weeks before facing ECU. What the fug ‘Merican!!

Mo is gone. Frustration and despair has left the building.

I've got us at 6 wins with no bowl game due to winning 2 against FCS competition (even though we haven't beaten any of them in a while). I think our ceiling is somewhere around 8.

Exactly.

JMU had lots of leftover talent in Coach Houston's first season, but he got them to over-perform and won the FCS championship.

Depending on ECU's talent level, I think his new program (and Donnie's familiarity) get your guys to over-perform this season.

I imagine you get at least 7 wins. Good luck.

Brian Bailey, from WNCT, was on The Sports Objective Podcast. He thinks if ECU goes 6-6 we will get a waiver from the NCAA for a bowl game because of Virginia Tech cancelling.
