RE: 'Almost no one calls' looking to play Troy in football
I wish this difficulty wasn't lost on everyone come December/January.
When someone from the G5 makes a UCF type run its always "well they need to schedule tougher". Its really hard to schedule when you're that good.

The CFP committee has basically said:
If you're a Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, or Georgia....schedule as weak as you can. Just win games and your name alone will keep you in the top 5.
If you're anyone else schedule tough as you can because you need the strength of schedule.

So schedule an Alabama or Georgia like we do. The pay is pretty good and if you get your lightning to strike you can live off it for the next 20 years like App has done.

The risk you run in playing a program like Alabama is having your team so completely blown out that they become demoralized afterwards, and we all know that Alabama certainly has the capability of doing this.

The effect is real. It's lasted 9 years for Georgia State.

All the more reason to expand the playoff and include all conference champs AQ. Debating which teams get to compete was the downfall of the BCS. This is slightly better, just with 4 teams instead of 2.

This is getting outdated. Clemson has surpassed Alabama. Alabama won’t beat Clemson again for a long time. Time to change the narrative.

From where we all sit as Sunbelt teams, is there much difference between playing either one?

They're a former P6, you know.
I'm wondering if they are planning to drop back to FCS to be honest. Idaho has opened that door and UConn would have a lot of Northeastern based FCS schools to schedule.
Possibly but UCONN is a lot closer to a lot of colleges and more can travel to Hartford.

Coming up:
2019: UNC and South Carolina
2020: Wisconsin and Wake Forest
2021: Miami
2022: UNC (home) and Texas A&M
2024: Clemson
2025: South Carolina (home)
2027: South Carolina
I suppose it has been a while since one was announced. Maybe they are learning.
I didn't know yall got SC at home. That's a big get.
