I highly recommend Twin Oaks BBQ on Norwich Street in Brunswick, Georgia. The meat is simply outstanding and they are generous with it. They've been in business since WWII at the same location. Battered French fries are not for heart patients, and the sides are solid. They do chicken as well.

I am real particular since I do my own.

Pit Boss in Hapeville near the airport is excellent.

If I want ribs Daddy Dz on Hill Street downtown by GSU is as good as it gets. Plus their cornbread is literally a dessert.

Best BBQ I've had on the road lately, just randomly stopping for lunch, is Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Franklin, TN. Outstanding. I figured it was just a local joint I stumbled across. Got home and found out it's a giant chain based out of Texas.

Have you had smoked chicken with white BBQ sauce? It'll change your life.

That's a Morgan County Alabama specialty. I love BBQ chicken.

Dickey's is pretty good food, decent prices. Definitely prefer it over over-paying at restaurants most of the time.

I had the brisket sandwich and my sister had the pulled pork, and we split them. The brisket was delicious, but the pulled pork was maybe the best we ever had, and we're from Memphis.

Odd, since it's a Texas chain, lol. We're going to New Mexico next month, and they have several out there.

I've eaten at Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur AL a few times. That's their specialty. It's really good, although white (mayo based) BBQ looks a bit weird.

I have a scheduling conflict this year, but I plan to visit that in 2020. Sounds like great fun.

That sums it well. Plenty of better places but doesn't mean it ain't worth eating.
