Some schools like VCU don’t have a lot of tall guys, but are very good setting up the 3. Duke used to be that way.

GT was last in the P5 in 3-point shooting last year. The line is moving further away this year.

I think the backup to Banks is the least of GT's problems.

Unless we get a lot of money in donations to fire him, he's got two years.
Wonder if we can match Pitt's futility from two seasons ago?
Yep, he isn't going anywhere. GT will be a 10-or-so-ish seed in the ACCT. Right where the Jackets have been for the past decade. That new remodeled arena has really helped recruiting along with being in Adidas uniforms hasn't it? Further proof you can have shiny new things to show off but it doesn't mean diddly when you can't sell it.
When you consider the city of Atlanta, the ACC, and so forth, it is truly mind boggling that GT can so consistently be sorry in MBB. But, going to Adidas was going to change everything from what I read. How stupid and simple minded.

I think you'll find GT programs will clean up at roughly the same speed that Todd Stansbury hires people to go in them. Pastner was a Bobinski hire. Say no more. For bonus points, Bobinski was the AD selected by McCamish, as Bud Peterson pretty much gave him carte blanche after dropping $100m for the renovation. I'd like to happily point out that Pastner is the last remaining person in that hiring chain still gainfully employed and/or consulted at the GTAA.

Fair enough. I hope you're right. I know as I'm sure you do that GT MBB has had exactly 1 winning ACC record season in the last 23 years. So, perhaps just me, but I believe this goes deeper than just Bobinski, who I agree was Sasquatch and a detriment to GT Athletics. Mediocrity with exception of a couple of good-to-great seasons here and there is the definition of GT MBB. I hope Todd makes a good hire once Pastner is done with his con job. After the last decade in particular, all I can do is hope. At least we'll look good in Adidas uniforms while losing I guess.

No way no how. Pastner develops talent and offense is more than the thing that happens between defensive possessions. He's bad. But he's an upgrade over Gregory.

They both suck. At least Gregory owned the Dwags. Pastner can't come close against them. Not optimistic (obviously), but always hopeful things will eventually change and get better. Pastner did a good job with Gregory's guys his first year. Last 2 years have been mediocre. We'll see...

CBG took over a 13-18 Paul Hewitt team and went
1. 11-20
2. 16-15
3. 16-17
4. 12-19
5. 21-15
CJP took over a 21 win CBG win team and went
1. 21-16
2. 13-19
3. 14-18
Call me crazy but CJP can't recruit (He is worse than CBG) and the wheels are falling off fast... or they went with Ron Bell...Not sure.. time will tell!
