Great opportunity to tighten the footprint
Parameters of schools we should look at.

1) large public Carnegie1/2 research universities
2) not on the west coast
3) endowments over $200m
4) large metro area DMAs
5) stadiums that seat 25k now and a commitment to get to 30k
6) more passion for football than UConn had

That leaves:
EAST
Georgia State (has new stadium, akin to the sleeping giants UCF and USF were)
ODU (selling 15k season tix and sold out stadium)

WEST
CSU
AFA

BTW, when some of you mention the great academics of SDSU, you are actually thinking UC San Diego.

North Texas is right there too. We are building new facilities and paying our coaches in the same range as other AAC programs.

RE: Great opportunity to tighten the footprint
If you want tighten the footprint it’s Marshall, VCU, and Dayton. I don’t understand why you chase projects and if your not getting Army or BYU you need schools that help with travel and draw fans.

Marshall and Dayton would actually be on the outskirts of the footprint. VCU makes sense if we do a football only.
