2019 Collegiate Athletics Symposium
Maybe UNT's AD will be rubbing elbows with some of the AAC people. Good time to show off UNT's new facilities.

I hope not, I am happier where we are. This is not an insult to the AAC. CUSA West just has close regional rivals for us and we already are playing both of the AAC Texas schools in non-conference. Football season, including travelling for road games, has been a blast.

I'm happy in C-USA West too, but the eastern members of C-USA keep rumbling about realigning with the Sun Belt. You can count me out of that mess. The AAC is a better football and basketball conference. More programs in the AAC are investing in their athletics than those in C-USA. While I'm happy in C-USA West, the eastern programs don't really value the Texas teams. I think a move to the AAC would benefit both North Texas athletics and the AAC.

I'm sure Baker will use this occasion to show off our facilities and programs to every athletic director and commissioner at the symposium in October. Hosting this event is certainly an advantage for North Texas.
