Was there a medical red shirt awarded at some point?
Yep, he got the medical redshirt and approval for a 6th year.
We kids led this around in December when he Tweeted it. Not sure how he fits into the crowded backfield. Wonder if he gets moved to the slot (I believe he actually caught a pass out of the slot position on the play he was hurt).
Who wears #2 this fall? Shaq? Jackson? Latu? Sexton?

Dear emu79,
I don't think Daugherty has any eligibility left. Although he was dressed, and I believe was in for a couple of plays, he was listed on the program as a graduate.

Why?
He was a medical redshirt in 2018 and had not been redshirted before.
Graduate = Graduate student.

He played in the spring game. I think he should get #2.

EMUFB has released a couple videos at practice. At QB Jackson, Grissom, and Stiebeling (in addition to Glass of course) are all throwing in practice.
It'll be an interesting battle behind Glass. Some have said on here Jackson is the starter in waiting, and he definitely have the body-type, but Grissom is such an athletic, dynamic potential as well. I won't be able to make it to the Spring Game, so somebody better take some detailed notes for this board!
If Jackson takes the backup spot or Isaac does, would it make sense to use Jairus in the slot or outside further? Seems like a really talented kid who the team could benefit more than having him as a 2nd or possibly 3rd string guy.

I know they are alternating days on the field and film review days (which I believe Creighton mentioned they would do in his recent video interview). For the O-line that means a lot of drilling and a lot of review as Patton assesses the talent he has to work with. Sorry I don't have anything more specific. Between practice and school, Alex has been pretty busy and is trying to squeeze in some time for sleep, so I really haven't talked to him much and have only seen him once since Spring practice started. The little bit that we have talked, he does seem pretty upbeat about how the O-line is coming together.
I'm curious to see who steps in. They lost a lot but the young guys they have seem really good and someone will likely need to step in early. (Howie, Mcadams, Racely, Dooley)

I agree with this. Seems like a great athlete that can do exciting things with the ball in his hands.
