Those guys do realize the AAC isn’t replacing a crappy football team with another one..right?

They’ll try for a MWC school but will be prepared to settle for a
Army type.

truth be told its better to have an open spot and some flexibility to add later if a school gets hot over the next few years

They need an even number of football teams to have a championship game.

Sez who? No NCAA rule requires that.

MAC had a champ game with 13. No need to have balanced divisions.

Cause for some reason the media market argument is still knocking around out there.

It's a dumb argument but it's still out there.

If CUSA looses ODU or UAB I hope our new Commish makes a move for USM and Marshall.

No, they stay east. If they are adding an all-sports school, they want a school in a good market, a school that is good in basketball and has potential to be good in football. In an area that produces a lot of football talent. That sounds like ODU or Georgia State.

Army does not make the conference better in football. They don't give the AAC access to a market full of football talent. Georgia State does that. ODU does that.

UAB over ODU is a no brainer.

The AAC has basically one school that's a media market and nothing else...Tulane. Every other member has a high pedigree or large following for football or basketball. They're not going to be stupid like CUSA and just go after marketz.

They are in Dallas, Houston, Tampa, Memphis, Philly, Orlando, New Orleans...

Their only small market school is in Greenville, NC

LOL

Again, not that expect it to happen but the arguments are not making sense.

5 of their markets have NFL teams...

Houston?

Orlando?

Philadelphia?

Tampa?

Memphis?

Cincinnati?

Make sure to keep a home game with Kennesaw State so you can have something close to a sellout each year.

Was not aware that Memphis or Orlando had NFL teams or were you thinking NBA.
