If you hate this country and want it destroyed, you should vote for Democrats.

If we're to take a legitimate stab at the query, here are some points that I have take from the candidates and the actions of the House so far that will resonate with some people. I don't know what the Dem official platform is on the issues, but you can deduct from what we've seen reported in the media and observed on the web.

• Pro Immigration - Granted the Dems appear to be wanting to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration and border control. However, their positions on chain migration and amnesty do resonate with Hispanics - who culturally are strong supporters of family.
• Reparations: We've come a long way from the first half of the 20th century; however, there are a number of minority families that are where they are as a result of consequences from decades old viewpoints. That will resonate with minorites who feel like their families were screwed over and it affects them today.
• Universal Healthcare - This will resonate with people who ARE seeing medical costs rising faster than the rate of inflation. This resonates with those who cannot get affordible insurance thru their place of employment.
• Tuition forgiveness/student loan forgiveness - A lot of kids were led astray by lazy guidance counselors plus society in general was touting how "only losers don't go to college". Universities capitalized on this and jacked up their costs well above the rate of inflation. Many of these kids should have never went to school - but society told them to go... Now they have crushing debt trying to pay off a fluff degree (when people told them it didn't matter what the degree was - just get one). Young people with high debt loads will be attracted to this.
  

Can each of these points be effectively refuted and/or demonstrated to be unreasonable due to costs? Absolutely. Do you trust the opposition - or at least those who understand that spending is an issue - to effectively refute these points? I don't - sadly...

I voted for Hillary twice--in primaries, in 2008 and 2016, because I thought she was the least objectionable democrat. I did not vote for her or Trump in the general.

The is one and only one reason to vote for a democrat--because Orange Man Bad. That's it. That's all they've got. If you happen not to believe that Donald Trump is the most horrible person on the planet, it's hard to find a reason to vote for any of the socialist/communist/collectivist candidates the democrats are attempting to put forth.

I think you should vote Democrat.... for the House of Representatives.

Government works best when there's checks and balances. But checks and balances only work when power is held by people with different views.

In each region, the states that are in the worst shape are the ones that have been dominated by one party for decades (California and Wyoming in the West; Illinois and North Dakota in the Midwest; New York in the Northeast; Mississippi in the South - Louisiana is doing worse because it's still reeling from Katrina).

In terms of economics, at least, history would refute that. Democrats are big on their, "the economy has done better under democrat presidents," mantra. But if you look at congress, it's the opposite. The economy has done better with republican congresses. So you should vote democrat for president and republican for congress.

But there's one big gotcha to that. Those democrat presidents under whom the economy has done best--Bill Clinton, JFK, Truman, even Jimmy Carter--weren't hard left ideologues like the current crop of democrat candidates. And FDR had WWII on his record to bail him out.

I can't imagine any reason to vote for a democrat right now.,
