I voted for a democrat one time. He was a blue dog who was a strong 2A proponent and fiscally responsible as well as big on national security and defense. I forgave him his socially left lean.

I voted for a local Dem judge once because we had a 5-minute conversation beforehand. Didn't take her a month to make me regret that choice though, not that it made a difference what I did (lived in a solidly blue district at the time).

You're 1 up on me. Voted in every local, state and federal election since 1994 and never once in any situation have I voted D.

I have voted for many Democrats - - and expect to vote for many more in whatever amount of time I have left before I am involuntarily committed.

The last Democrat that I voted for is still washing the black off of his face.

How far is that $1000 going to go when you are paying taxes on the rest of his campaign promises? Not too far, but it's a shiny object to distract the easily duped. Like you.

Depends on your income but for a lot of people it would pay the rent or groceries, transportation, etc.

I live near Chicago. I don't know how many times my deceased Mom and Dad have voted for D's since they have died.
I suppose I will only vote D once I kick the bucket as well.

I've voted Demonic too, I think it was Carter and Clingon. When Killery and Oblunder were primarying I was going for Killery. Can you imagine that, that I would go for her before I went for Oblunder? It was that bad. I just couldn't fathom Oblunder as president as I knew in my heart that he'd be a lousy president and it didn't have ANYTHING with his race. As a matter of fact I couldn't imagine voting for the white part of him as the black part of him, it was just him that I couldn't stand. He lacked any expertise, moral convictions or leadership and I could see it a mile away.

At first I admit, I didn't want Trump as president but WOW has he surprised me even as I bit the bullet and voted for him over Killery. He has been outstanding and anyone with ANY SENSE can see it. If you can't it's that you don't want to, it's that simple.

Now, with how the Demons are moving towards a communist agenda there is no chance that I will ever vote for them.

What's the consensus down in VA about that guy? I mean ya'll didn't want to recall him or anything? It's like the story just died after he admitted to it, crawfished, and said nope on second thought, wasn't me.

Some will point to his failure to fully implement his agenda as if he is 100% at fault. They conveniently ignore the obstructions from the democrat opposition as well as from within his own party, they ignore the constant distractions he's been faced with since the minute he was sworn in. The levels of obstruction and distraction from real issues has been unprecedented, at least in my lifetime...

Because in some areas, if you don't, they will tear up your car, boycott your business, even if you don't own it and cost you your job and spit on you

We in Virginia (particularly the natives, of which I am not) have a talent for averting our eyes from unseemly conduct - - at leas if it reflects badly upon us.

This disclosure, to be frank, was a shock to those of us who thought that Ralph Northam was a normal dude. He ran a mostly placid campaign against Ed Gillispie - - a Republican money guy, but generally non-offensive. The race was close enough that toward the end Team Northam had one of their allied pac's run a smear ad against Gillispie - - do a bing search (not google) on "Gillispie, bumper sticker ad". It was an appalling cheap shot. Northam pretended to distance himself from it, but Gillispie's response was pretty lame.

Part of the shock when the yearbook picture came out is that the Gillispie team did not themselves come up with this yearbook picture, which was pretty much available for all to find. That kind of political malpractice deserves a loss.

The general consensus is that the disclosure of the yearbook picture was an inside political hit, by Democrat operatives who wanted to distract from the embarrassing post-birth abortion comments made by the governor. It was effective in doing so. Those stunningly radical comments (even for those of us who lean pro-choice) have faded into the background. We instead are left arguing about a decades-old picture.

That's Virginia. To quote the great Jackson Browne, "It's who you look like. Not who you are."
