The Monarchs' upset of VA Tech is one of four nominations by ESPN for the "Upset of the Year" ESPY. The other three nominees are a tennis match, a hockey series and a boxing match.

It would be a valid thing to do. At the end of the year you beat an average team. It's OK to celebrate a big win but reality changes week to week in college football.
