You have no idea that Harvard admitted anyone that had their record “wiped” clean. You are making assumptions. Yes it would be hypocritical of Harvard to do that but you have zero clue of that. You are making a hypothetical argument. Hard to argue against a hypothetical.

Agree?

I would agree, If I had said anything about Harvard doing so.... but I didn't.

Note that in none of my examples or comparisons do I make reference to things 'Harvard' has done. I'm talking about 'the left', which is an obvious generalization and certainly doesn't speak for all of the left... but I know some people on the left in particular who believe very strongly in youthful errors, rehabilitation and someone having turned their life around etc etc... and i see none of those people here.

Harvard is free to do as it chooses... and I am unaware of any specific hypocrisy of Harvard. I am however very aware of Harvard students and graduates (especially lawyers) who lobby hard for the things I accuse them of supporting, and I don't see them here or in the public making those same arguments here.

Do you see the ACLU arguing in defense of this kid? Do you see Alan Dershowitz? I'm not going to go to the trouble of looking up every organization or person who has vocally lobbied for kids who do some VERY violent things getting a free pass at 18 etc etc (the numerous examples I gave plus many more). Those are the people I am speaking about... and I'm making no assumptions. We all have heard those people, where are they on this? If this is different, why?

If that's not you (and I don't think it is) then I'm not speaking of you... and no, I don't expect them to speak about EVERY cause, but I do expect to see SOMEONE from the left make the same argument for this kid that they make for the one who commits a crime... and I don't see those people. I think we all know 'why' and that's hypocrisy.

but still, none of that is anyone thinking the kid can't make good out of this or that I think the kid is a victim.

Fear not, Mach. There's no law against the public belittlement of an underage student for his private transgressions - - particularly one who leans conservative.

You and Harvard are well in the clear.
