Good luck on your new hire. Must be nice to have the best baseball coach in the league now.

All of the championship trophies there does make it look small.

Hope Charlotte has better results with your UNC/transplant baseball coach than MT had with our UNC/transplant basketball coach. If memory serves when Middle Tennessee hired Randy Weil, the former UNC disciple of Coach Smith, Raider Fans thought we were gonna be Awesome. He turned out to be the worst MBB Coach in my lifetime. And, I've been following the Blue Raiders for 60 years! My point: You really never know how a guy is gonna fit until he's been with you a couple of years.

App State's UNC/transplant basketball coach damn near killed our program.
Thanks Charlie Cobb for three miserable BBall hires in a row. Good luck Georgia State with that nonsense.

It is always risky when you hire a coach from a school with unlimited resources. The good thing is, it appears we are finally at a point where we want to significantly invest in the baseball program. We also retained/promoted our lead assistant to Associate HC so most of our recruiting class is still on board. That should make for a pretty smooth transition.
