Also, I don't know much about Servin, but a redshirt freshman who played in 4 games last year seems like a strange choice

With a reported 40 new faces on the roster this fall, who knows what to expect.

I don't think anyone knows what to expect from the OL other than it should be a ton improved. My guess is the most likely all-conference performers will be the three graduate transfers (and I'd guess Nick Leverett, Justin Gooseberry and Brian Chaffin in that order are the most likely standouts). Those three plus Shea Baker are probably starters for sure - the 5th starter would be either Servin, Uzoma Osuji and Cole Garcia??

I've got to believe that some of this is coming from Steele and his team talking to the coaches in the league, so clearly someone is pumping up Servin as a force to be reckoned with. I don't know if anyone had any observations from the spring scrimmages, but hopefully that's indicative of at least one player growing into his talent.

These magazines have essentially become worthless with so many players transferring in and out of programs.

I guess Jake Syptak is no longer on the team. He's apparently transferred to Arkansas as a regular student there. SWC Roundup projects the starters to be Leverett, Osuji, Baker, Servin and Garcia (although I still think Gooseberry and Chaffin are potential starters too).
