Yep. You hate to see a season ending injury at any point but it's got to be even more disappointing for a player when it happens two weeks before the season even begins.

Coach Freeman really impresses me in these types of interviews. He's extremely articulate about what they're doing--not just a lot of "coach-speak". And listening to him, and then watching him on the sidelines during games, his energy and passion are off the charts.
If it's true that Coach Fickell followed his conversations with West Virginia last January with a request that UC increase pay for his assistants, not himself, he's a wise man. The longer we can keep this coaching group together, the higher UC can rise nationally. Exciting times.

Another injury I just saw reported in The Athletic.. apparently Arquon Bush re-aggravated a toe injury from spring and will be out the first few games.
Edit: Just saw it was noted by Marcus Freeman in the video above as "Bush being limited"

Another injury I just saw reported in The Athletic.. apparently Arquon Bush re-aggravated a toe injury from spring and will be out the first few games.
Damn...that's a much bigger loss than the other two. Hopefully he can fully recover and this doesn't become a recurring injury.

Oh yeah he will be a head coach some day forsure if he wants to be. Great D schemes, great recruiter, and great in public. Comes off as serious but like you said articulates and has fun with his guys. Watching these interviews it makes sense CLF told him he was nuts wanting to be a GA when higher ups in OSU admin were ready to groom him as next AD.
You can see the intelligence and personality would be a perfect fit for s lot of jobs.

Damn I was really looking forward to Arquon’s second year. Get healthy ASAP! I think he is going to be really good.
