They don’t care about games with Tech or Baylor or Okie Lite or KSU and OU will never be played at DKR
That’s why they’re scheduling so many big name name opponents now (especially from the SEC) to sell home game tickets but still remain in a conference that is totally dependent on them for survival as a P league
That's it. Texas values domination, dependency, and control beyond the athletic teams. One school, one vote, is not enough for them. Controlling votes is what matters more.
Then they should poach North Carolina when Oklahoma leaves. Those two schools are just alike. North Carolina replaces Kansas in hoops so with 1 hoops bell cow and 1 football bell cow they can live in their own worlds within the same conference. Texas can keep T.C.U. and Baylor, North Carolina can keep Duke and Wake Forest and then Louisville and West Virginia can be added to Oklahoma State and Kansas State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Georgia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse.
The SEC adds Florida State, Clemson, N.C. State and Virginia Tech to move to 18.
The Big 10 adds Kansas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Virginia to move to 18.
And your new Big 12 looks like this:
Baylor, Texas, T.C.U., Texas Tech
Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia
Iowa State, Louisville, Kansas State, Oklahoma State
Duke, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Wake Forest
Add Cincinnati and B.Y.U. and it looks like this:
Baylor, B.Y.U., Oklahoma State, Texas, T.C.U., Texas Tech
Cincinnati, Iowa State, Louisville, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia
Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Syracuse, Wake Forest.
The SEC becomes:
Arkansas, Louisiana State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas A&M
Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
Clemson, Florida, Georgia, N.C. State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech
The B1G becomes:
Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State
Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Virginia
Now in that ideal world wouldn't we all be better off by placing the two narcissist schools together with their groupies and the more dependent P5 schools?
