2019-20 Hoops schedule
So NU’s non-conference schedule is almost done...

Home - Davidson, Harvard, UVM, ODU, one more that isnt public yet (no one exciting)

Road - BU, Eastern Michigan, one more not public (no one real exciting)

Neutral - 3 (not 4) in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, FL (Drake, Miami (OH), S. Alabama, Weber State, Wright State and 2 others yet announced)

Thats 11. We are looking for one more.

That schedule is about as boring as a Coen interview. Rimshot

We'll probably still end up top 4 in conference though based on all of the transfers out of the conference. 03-thumbsup

Boring, but maybe smart, too, considering all the missing parts and question marks.

At one point, I thought we had a contract to play Memphis at home this year and then the following two years on the road? Was there a buyout or something?

We did, but when Associate AD Tim Duncan left NU to take the AD job at New Orleans, it fell through.

Duncan and Penny Hardaway were teammates at Memphis.

The schedule has been updated to show TV coverage. Lots of games on NESN and CBSSportsNet. PLN for the BU game and probably thr Holy Cross game, too. A couple more on ESPN+.

RE: 2019-20 Hoops schedule
Being out of the area I'm not sure I'll be able to watch any of the games. I have ESPN+, but not Flo, CBS, NESN, or PLN.

It will be weird going from watching them all to not watching anymore.

If you download the NESN app you can watch NESN and NESN Plus.

I watched NU play the Sox on the app and it was great.

RE: 2019-20 Hoops schedule
And the PLN network is free. Go to their website and sign up. That gets you the BU and Holy Cross games. I'm still getting over having to pay for FLO after getting to see all CAA games for free. As of now I'm feeling like I'll subscribe and just subtract the FLO cost from my donation.

Speaking of streaming tv...I see that Orangeville streams some of their games so if you want to watch Stucke.......

Lastly, STL......Where have you been? And what do you think about us signing a 6' 10" replacement for Anthony and a 6' 8" (the W+M board says 6' 6") replacement for Bolden?

RE: 2019-20 Hoops schedule
Been a crazy summer, got married! Havent really been checking in here.

Secondly, thanks everyone for the tips on PLN and NESN. that will help for sure.

Thirdly, NUGUY you scared me by talking about a Bolden replacement. I had to go double check that he didnt transfer when I wasnt looking! But I know what you mean now, Stucke in 2020.

Anyway, Stucke looks like a player. Pretty excited for him, i can definitely seem him filling the Brace role.

Weir seems like a copy of Green. Him and Greg Ebo out there could be a nice dynamic. Speaking of bigs, anyone know if Murphy put on some muscle this off season?

Looking forward to a successful 2019-2020 Huskies sports season. Looks like we already have a couple teams doing well this fall.

Congrats on the nuptials bro! Hope your summer was great!

Weir is nothing like Green. Physically he eventually will be, but skill-wise Weir is a low post scorer, a solid passer and I think a better rebounder.

And many are linking Stucke with Brace. But Stucke is 6-8, just as good of a shooter (and could be better) and can dribble drive to the basket with authority.

I'm sure Murphy put on some muscle. He got bigger last year too.

Ditto on the nuptuals! I hope your wife is a sports fan.

It is probably too early to see how Weir will develop but I like what I see so far. He seems comfortable in the low post with either hand. I didn't fall in love with Anthony until some time in his junior year.....partly because he lost his freshman year by coming in out of shape.

I've been wondering about Tomas, too....not so much about if he's added muscle but about if he's now got an outside shot.

Back to tv for a second. I signed up for ESPN+ last spring because I had a niece who was a freshman on the St Joes girls lacrosse team. It's cheap and it has a lot of content. Plus, the first month is free so you could watch the first ESPN+ game on our schedule and then decide if you want to keep the channel for the rest of the basketball season.

ESPN+ is great. I use it for soccer and tennis, plus they have a few mid major conferences using it for most games. Also some other random sports sometimes and access to ESPN insider if that's your thing.
