Regina Cavanaugh Murphy
Her son Justin is transferring from UCLA to UH to play a 6th and final year of college football (he also played at Texas Tech). But what stood out more in his tweet announcing his decision is that she has breast cancer and is undergoing treatment at MD Anderson.

Regina Cavanaugh Murphy is probably the most decorated female athlete in Rice history (6 NCAA shot put titles). Her husband Jim played football at Rice. Let's hope she has a full recovery.
