New bowl lineup
Stadium reports:

The SEC is adding the Las Vegas Bowl against a PAC 12 opponent. It will only be played 3 times over the 6 year contract. The Big Ten will occupy the other 3 slots.

When the SEC is not playing in the Las Vegas Bowl, then it will send a team to the Belk Bowl against an ACC team.

The Independence Bowl has been replaced in our lineup and it looks like that game will get a PAC 12 team...talk about culture shock.

Our last bid goes to the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa. Nice location with a goofy name although it looks like one of our teams probably won't even be in that game most years. I'm just basing that on odds and how many of our schools tend to be bowl eligible.

The Independence Bowl is rocketing toward the Detroit Bowl in irrelevance. The ACC vs the Pac-12 in a timezone neither of them are in. What could possibly go wrong?

Are we splitting the Bell Bowl too? That seems like a loss.

Yeah, we're splitting time with the Las Vegas Bowl and the Belk Bowl. The Big Ten is getting the other half of the slots.

RE: New bowl lineup
Anyone know who the Gasparilla opponent is in the next cycle for the SEC. There seems to be confusion in varying articles as to whether it will be the AAC or the ACC. The AAC is the major opponent in this bowl in the current bowl cycle with the ACC and CUSA as the second team. In Pre-Christmas years for the bowl CUSA is the opponent. In Post-Christmas dates the ACC is the opponent for the AAC. Did the AAC loose this bowl in the next cycle or keep it. 04-cheers
