What article?

RE: UNCW Baseball in 2020
Baseball America article mentioned them both potentially starting. Don't think that's real accurate. Hood mentioned in media day that Croom, Smith, Baldwin and Meadows would handle the MIF slots most likely. Gotta believe the OF will be some combination of Bridges (lock), Thorburn, Liles, Wells and maybe Marsh. I've seen some scrimmages and I'd say Marsh needs some work in the OF, but you can see the tools are there. He's a very good athlete. Roberson, Baldwin and maybe Brandenburg could rotate in the OF some too. There are lots of options even with Brown getting hurt. I think the IF is more settled than the OF at this point.

This is a line written in the Baseball America CAA 2020 Preview write up.
"Meanwhile, talented freshmen Trevor Marsh and Jac Croom will slide in at left fielder and second base, respectively, to give the Seahawks a talented lineup to lead them back to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year."

Hood says Meadows and Baldwin are athletic enough to use in the outfield if needed.

Looks to me like we have a next man up roster. The biggest problem we have to start the season is the team has just been able to come together as a whole to practice. Had some kind of bug floating around that has had as many as 14 out sick at a time. So it may not be a big bang start.

I could see Baldwin or Meadows playing a corner OF position or Meadows at 2nd and Baldwin back at 1st base maybe. Weiss-3B,Smith-SS,Croom-2B, Brandenburg 1B and Suggs-C if they hit the ball and if not they have some dudes that might get a shot. Pretty nice to have options and some team speed to go along with it.

Marsh played a lot of legion ball and that usually means weak pitching until they get deep in the playoffs. Might have some adjusting at the plate with more velo and command.
