Do they even have a deal with ESPN?

No

For some reason I was thinking they had some deal where their leftover games go to ESPN+. Guess not

RE: Sun Belt announce updates to Football Schedule
Yeh, CUSA definitely has a deal with ESPN to air games on ESPN+ that have not been picked up by CBSSN, Stadium, and NFL Network as long as the schools produce the game. CUSA still has games on ESPN3 that ESPN produces, like other G5 and FCS conferences, but ESPN3 will be going the way of the dodo soon.

Wowwwww a 7pm ESPN2 pickup is HUGE for us and the SBC. We are officially playing with the big boys. For reference, this was picked up over 7:30 start for Mizzou/Georgia.

This can either go very well for us, or very poorly. I, for one, am very excited.

Wow! Prime time game for App State and South Carolina. If we can pull off a W that puts us in the drivers seat for the NY6 in my book. Well, unless GS screws us over again with another upset!

Given that GSU is the only SBC team without a conference game on ESPNU or ESPN2 and that GSU is arguably one of the three best teams in the SBC so far, one might expect the folks at the SBC Vatican would make an extra effort to get either the APP@GSU game or the GSU@GASO game on ESPNU or ESPN2. Then again they might want to showcase USA in a 4th conference game on ESPNU or ESPN2, so the USA@GSU game might be their reasoned choice.

To be technical the game falls under the SEC’s TV contract, but getting picked over Georgia is a big deal

USA could make 7 national TV games this year, can we save one for when we are better.... It's easy for their production trucks to get to Mobile. We have I10 and I65 that come together in Mobile.

I expect App/GSU to be picked up by the U when that window hits. Remember ESPN has one 7 day window they can use if they want to wait for the App/SC game to finish before making a call

I'm guessing as long as App stays ranked they'll likely continue to get games picked up, regardless of opponent.

Really shows the benefits of becoming a ranked team.

So GSU/App very well may get picked up IF App is still ranked.

Except the Texas State @ App game is already slated for ESPN+

Which hopefully will mean the fans will show up to the actual game rather than watch on TV.

Well I don't mean every game, but wasn't the USA game originally slated for the +? They have the option to flex it to linear TV I'd assume?

I'm not sure. App had a lot of game times/broadcast listed as TBA. I can't remember what the USA game was. Texas State game has been slated as ESPN+ pretty much since the schedule was released.

Frankly I have little desire to see that game picked up.

Not sure what's better. Losing by 30 where nobody sees it, or losing by 30 where people can see it.
