Nice.

I think they do covers regionally? Wonder if anyone else will get shown some love. UCF is starting to build some notoriety for team and individual performance.

RE: 2019 Football Off Season News
Looking at our schedule, it looks like we have an ABC game lined up first three weeks of the season.

The noon slot is where Fox is trying to carve out their viewer window, with CBS dominating the 3:30 slot, and ABC/ESPN locked in on Saturday nights. I see us playing a lot there. We have performed well vs the fox line-ups and we're cheap so the risk return is good.

We only have two week night games on ESPN2, so we are maximizing the return on those in exposure.

How close do we get to having a game each week ota? Right now we have five, three "under our control" with two more highly likely. Getting thirteen or fourteen would be huge, but ten seems more likely with two or three more popping up during conference play.

Sept 21st, no games under our control, but SMU @ TCU and UCF @ Pitt could be picked up.
Sept 28th, Georgia Tech @ Temple may be the best chance.
Oct 5th, tough week no real chances.
Oct 12th, Cincinnati @ Houston is a good chance, to a lesser degree BYU @ USF and Memphis @ Temple
Oct 19th, tough week slim pickings.
Oct 26th, UCF @ Temple
Nov 2nd, Houston @ UCF
Nov 9th, four teams with byes, two weekday games only four to choose from
Nov 16th, Navy vs Notre Dame is already on but we also have Cincy @ USF and Memphis @ Houston.
Nov 23rd, Temple @ Cincinnati and Memphis @ USF

Also didn't we use to make sure the last three weeks of the season we avoided cross division matches? We are playing with fire a little bit there with a championship rematch happing close together. Probably need to do a better job of spreading out our best in conference match ups too as well as avoiding more than two teams on byes during a week. Probably three to five legit chances (depending on records) for some more ABC games, but with a little finagling we could have almost guaranteed four.

Athlon Sports AAC run down.

UCF vs Memphis for championship.

Houston Memphis will play for west.

Cincinnati and UCF will play for the west, but unlike Houston and Memphis the game winner may not be the east division champ, Cincy has Memphis, Houston, and USF on the road. UCF misses Memphis and has the other two at home. UCF only team forecasted with ten wins or more (10-3)

Eight eligible bowl teams. Everyone except UConn predicted to have at least four wins and Navy just missing bowl eligibility with five.

Well poo. ECU now has 2 G4s and an FCS in 2020. Looks like they're cancelling the VT trip.

Pretty good rundown actually.

Captured the fact that DLine is our biggest question mark, but also captured that Heupel got some big time help this past recruiting cycle with Cam Goode, Morris-Brash (All American), and a transfer from Indiana. There's probably another transfer pending too.

Looks like some juggling to set up replacement series for VT and cover the immeadiate hole that was left. I wouldn't outright cancel the contract I would wait and let them know each year if I was taking the bye game. That way if you get a good team you can roll in their to beef up the schedule, kick ass and take their money. Plus it forces them to juggle the schedule a little longer for being *****.

Yeah I have no idea how accurate the win loss totals would be but thought the piece was generally informative and encapsulated the teams need to knows.

I notice no one mentioning Tulane being chosen By Athlon as the Dark horse for the conference. Athlon mentions that not only do we have the #1 D Line and great receiving core (underrated at that) but they could see us being far better then 6-6 and winning the west (like last year when we tied for 1st).

Man you guys love shitting on tulane, and then strategically ignoring the positive outlooks. I look forward to settling it on the field. We beat memphis and usf last year and houston the year before. But more then that, this is the most complete team we’ve had, we’re in year 4 of fritz, we have 2 competent QB’s and we finally got rid of our awful OC and brought in a great hire. I look forward to UCF @ home, Memphis and Houston this year. I hope they sleep on us like the rest of you.

Or maybe people are accepting that your football program has moved to a level where its expected to be a bowl team and might have a chance to surprise? Haven't you been hovering around bowl eligibility the last two years? Expected to be a bowl team again this year. Pulled off some strong games last season expectation is you can again.

Sorry your program has been steadily improving for three years now and we expect you to be decent.

FIU is a scary week 1 team - easy to drop that if they come out flat. I'm not buying an AAC run unless they can get the new offense cranking in week 1 and take an early toss up game.

No offense, but us going 7-5 with the schedule we have and the talent we bring back would be very disappointing. I see four gimme wins (Bucknell, GT with good ol' Geoff who will be trying to turn that triple option team into something else, @ECU, UConn), six challenging but winnable games of varying difficulty (Maryland, @Buffalo, Memphis, @SMU, @USF, Tulane), and two games that are more uphill battles but not impossible (UCF, @Cincinnati). 7-5 would be a letdown. I see 9-3, 10-2 if a few things bounce our way.

I listen to the podcast the Athlon sports guys put on. They're actually pretty well informed. Despite being big P5 homers, they probably give us, and the AAC in general, one of the fairer looks in the media.

If we can go 10-3 with another AAC championship, I would be very happy with that. We're definitely taking a step back this year, the question is how far back. I like Mack and think he can get it done if he works on his ball security.
