How energized would our fans be to get a player of this caliber to commit early and build a top ten class around? An exciting possibility although I have no idea where he hopes to play.

I think Cincinnati will be in this one till the end. Hopefully, we don't get left at the altar.

All this talk about McMillan, Hardman, and Griffith...but I sure hope we're looking at Jacob Meyer down at Covington Holy Cross...6'1" freshman guard averaging around 20 ppg and just destroying rims already.

I can't help but believe Brannen's style of play will energize local recruits who may have passed right over UC in recent years.

I also wonder if there is some secondary benefit for elite basketball recruits when they see some of the best football talent in the city (and the country-Prater) staying home to play for the 'Cats? Is it suddenly more socially acceptable to choose Cincinnati? Time will tell, but I'm cautiously optimistic that Brannen will begin to get at least some of the local blue chip guys that made a practice of leaving town in recent years.

It certainly seems like Brannen has taken a page out of Fickell's book in building camaraderie and school loyalty within his classes. I think it was Saunders who was playing in the same tournament in Hawaii that Eason was playing in during the weekend of his commitment. It wasn't like Saunders would've swayed his decision one way or the other but I thought I remember reading they had connected on that trip?

If anything, Brannen preaches the UC brand over and over again so he understands the power the C-paw holds. I have to think if he lands the likes of Duncomb or Johnson in 2021 that they'd help in recruiting McMillan, Hardman, etc. in the following class.

he's special. if it makes sense, he looks more like a Cronin player than a Brannen player. that's the second coming of Cash Wright

Obviously things are kind of dead right now. But does anybody have any updates since the last post? Have we offered? Are either of them interested?

Plus apparently there’s a top Ohio player that plays at Centerville high school.

Kenny Satterfield is now Head Coach at Hughes.

Any top players there? I know some of the studs in town were changing teams. Where did they end up landing?

it's not a done deal, but it's a safe assumption to guess that KJ Satterfield and Seck Zongo will leave Oak Hills. (there's a pointed take to be made about how certain parents and communities don't deserve nice things, but i digress)

if he can keep everybody together, he's going to have a MONSTER squad.

G: Alexander Parks (10th) - think Drew Lavender or Jordan from LaSalle a few years back. extremely fast, extremely poised, extremely short.
G: KJ Satterfield(11th) or JaeSean Martin (12th) - trying to scout KJ confuses me, because AAU hasn't been open to fans and his high school team grossly misused him. he's not as good as the recent CMAC point guards, but this might be the greatest run of CMAC PGs since the 80s. JaeSean is a better football player; sadly, our football team is probably too good to have interest in a 5'11 two/three star cornerback.
F: Seck Zongo (11th) - we'd normally call him a Cronin Special. athletic, long arms and frame that'll make Rehfeldt drool mixed with a jump shot that could double as a melee weapon.
F: Brandon Glass (9th) - mark my words: he'll be on the football blog. this kid is a 6'7" cheat code as a junior high tight end. i have no idea if he can even dribble, but he's capable of 12 and 8 just off of rebounds and lob passes
C: Kieran Granville-Britten (9th) - now THIS one is the next one. gives me Yancy flashbacks. https://youtu.be/BHy6n9vo240

Class of 2023
No rank on 24/7- I’m guessing because of the Covid year. After this summer evaluation period we will know his real ranking and offer list.

Minimum - Short term:we need at least 1/3 top 50 players from Cincy. Hopefully that can improve to 1/2 if Coach WM does very well.

BearcatMan- keep us posted on NW Ohio (and NE).

Darren Peterson is a very strong player for Class of 2025 from Canton. He may be out of reach though.

I actually hope they allow players go straight to the league. That will even the playing field for us a lot.

Northwest Ohio is a barren wasteland as far as high end boys basketball talent is concerned...now, girls basketball, thats a completely different story.
