RE: ACC Network
I would like Packer and Durham in a more prime time slot. I don't think your afternoon time slot is possible though. Packer does a Sirius/XM show around 3PM every weekday. Having the show in the morning also allows Wes Durham to drive/fly to a night game to call it for the ACCN.

They don't take many callers because most callers aren't terribly smart. It's not as bad as call ins on the Finebaum show but there's some real head scratcher calls they've fielded in just the first 100 shows. And I don't mind Packer talking down to idiots that call in. If you call in with a juicy meaty question you'll find they run with it. I've called in on air before and Packer said "great question" twice and then they talked about it for like 5 minutes.

It's been several years since I've called in, but my experience with Packer was similar. I think he handles each call on a case-by-case basis (although perhaps he might've been snarky on the day you called).

RE: ACC Network
I know I brought this up before, but I wondered how the ACCN could attract the attention of a diverse audience? Some ideas:
-Tailgate cooking show
-Professor lectures
-Student/Athlete/Professor reality shows
-School historic documentaries
-Engineering challenges (autonomy racing, etc)
-Celebrity alum interviews

I'd watch the ones in bold.

RE: ACC Network
How bout buying some tv rights from football Independents like Liberty, UConn, Army, and showing it on the ACCN? Perhaps 1 or 2 of each. These games could be used as filler and a die hard fan from these schools may actually get the ACCN so that they can watch their team.

RE: ACC Network
So about broadcasting. I'm sure most schools have really improved their sports broadcasting majors to support the network.

Syracuse as arguably the best sports broadcast program in the country just upgraded their equipment again.

Surprised? No.

E J Manuel and Mark Richt have distinguished themselves on this network.

We'll see how things go. These are awkward times.

nole's point was valid when the ACCN first launched - representation was skewed toward basketball schools. However, as you noted, there's been a real effort to realign the ACCN to better cover the #1 most-viewed sport.
