AAC Bowl Teams
According to the Bleacher Report, The American will sponsor 9 Bowl teams. That would be a first, I believe. We all have to win those OOC games. Below are their projections:
American (9 teams): Cincinnati (Hawaii Bowl), Houston (Independence Bowl), Memphis (Military Bowl), Navy (Boca Raton Bowl), SMU (Frisco Bowl), South Florida (Gasparilla Bowl), Temple (Birmingham Bowl), Tulane (Cure Bowl), UCF (Cotton Bowl)

Cotton Bowl looks sexy in that lineup.

RE: AAC Bowl Teams
Stewart Mandel (The Athletic) sees 8 teams. FWIW, he also forecasts the SEC's 10 spot in the Independence Bowl going to Army and Big 12's 6 spot in the Cheez-It Bowl going to Fresno State.. something to think about if we have good representation in the polls at the end of the year.
Dec. 28 | Cotton | Arlington, Texas
Notre Dame (at-large) vs. Cincinnati (at-large)
Dec. 20 | Frisco | Frisco, Texas
SMU (American) vs. Marshall (at-large)
Dec. 21 | Cure | Orlando
Temple (American) vs. Georgia Southern (Sun Belt)
Dec. 21 | Boca Raton | Boca Raton
UCF (American) vs. Toledo (MAC)
Dec. 23 | Gasparilla | Tampa
USF (American) vs. FIU (C-USA)
Dec. 24 | Hawaii | Honolulu
Tulane (American) vs. Hawaii (MWC/BYU)
Dec. 27 | Military | Annapolis, Md.
Duke (ACC No. 8) vs. Memphis (American)
Jan. 2 | Birmingham | Birmingham, Ala.
Houston (American) vs. Purdue* (SEC No. 9)

BYU has the other side of the Hawaii Bowl contract this year, not the MWC. MWC is the back-up. So, if BYU is bowl-eligible, we are Hawaii bound against an AAC opponent. (Yay!) The only rare exception would be if we were to miraculously grab the one NY6 at large spot to the Cotton Bowl (against the AAC, of course).
