South Carolina had several high profile nationally televised games against prominent opponents, i.e. Georgia, Clemson, Florida, Kentucky, etc. One or two games can skew results.

Gamecock, here are the figures for each game in 2018. It may be part of what ATU and Murrdcu were asking as well. I suppose someone could have added each, and then separated and ranked by conferences, apparently without citations. That's a lot of work, but left to certain assumptions.

There were definitely several big games but several big time duds as well. That website didn’t even list the SC/Akron game, which took place on championship weekend, which kind of shows how off the radar it was
