RE: CFN.COM: 5 Things to Know About ULM
This guy didn't do much research.

While Evans put up some good numbers, he missed way too many open receivers and wasn't focused. Probably left at least 1 win on the field. This year, he has a competent backup behind him so I think the focus probably will be worked out or he may find himself "observing" some from the sideline on occasion.

WR: Losing Green will hurt. RJ Turner has transferred to Texas Tech. Turner may have had his feeling hurt (not sure) but he is gone. That being said, there is a good mix of experience and youthful speed. Might be a bit better because I feel the staff tried to run too much through Green early in the season and folks were keying on Green. More options for Evans. Question will be do any of the young WRs step up.

TE: Barring anything from camp, we should be much better and much bigger at TE. Pederson was sick during the summer and didn't come back until 3-4 games in and was 20 lbs or more lighter. He is healthy. Lamm is healthy. Darling is healthy. And there is a JUCO TE that is the fastest of the bunch. TEs will go anywhere from 6'4" to 6'7". Hopefully we use them more because we have the depth.

RB: Vaughn will be a bruiser but he won't be the starter. Josh Johnson will probably be the starter. Former 3 star with Ole Miss offer. Didn't play much at all last year (nagging injury I think) but he will play a good bit. A lot of depth at RB with a combination of speed and power. Most of us hope that we see more of the running game now that our RB coach is gone and we have a new one.

A lot of what he said about defense is pretty spot on. However, remember Cortez Sisco. He is better than Day and outperformed him last year. LBs are deep. Got some depth (and youth) at DE so hopefully they step up. Defense showed that it could step up and play well, just didn't do it consistently.

Schedule is tough so I think 5-6 wins is about right. Not because we will be worse. Probably will be better. Florida St, Iowa St on the road and Memphis at home make OOC a hard place to pick up a win.
