UTRGV will be getting a new AD
Chris King, who has been there ten years, is leaving to be AD at his alma mater Robert Morris. Given the canvas that he was in Edinburg, he's done quite a job over the years.

Absolutely agree, he did a fantastic job. The program has gone from a questionable D-I operation to a solid and well developing program, essentially a core member of the WAC. That is an incredible buildup in a decade, and at a public school with it's own changes and challenges.

Frankly the entire leadership of UT-RGV (and it's prior iteration UTPA) have done a commendable job in building the institution itself and an identity with it. Good luck to Mr. King at Robert Morris. I have great confidence based on the track record of the school's leadership that they will select another quality AD.

The momentum is swinging in the right direction for UTRGV. They should have their pick of great candidates.
