What is the monthly price you pay going through the CAA or JMU link? $12.50/month if you subscribe monthly, $96 for an entire year (which equates to about $8/month). Make sure to do this in a web browser and not through their app. Also create an account with a traditional username and password and don't link it to a social media account. Their roku app wasn't able to recognize the account log in if it's linked to facebook, for example. I remember fans having problems with that. Truly terrible design to allow log ins through other websites

Is it true that when you are charged for your subscription that you have to pay for one full year upfront? Or do they charge you on a monthly basis? If you subscribe to the annual package, you have to pay the full $96 up front at once.

Once the sports seasons are over in May(ish), is it easy to cancel the subscription? Any problems with getting your money back if you have prepaided for a year and then cancel? I can only speak for myself, but the one time i've cancelled so far was easily done online and I was never charged extra or had any issues. Other fans have claimed otherwise online with their horror stories. They won't give you a refund if you paid for the full year and decide you don't want it anymore and want your money back. I recommend just doing month by month if that's the case.

From some of the things I’ve heard, I’m a little leery of subscribing to Flo Sports but will be my only way to watch. Hopefully some of you who have it now can ease my mind. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide to me. I didn't have any issue with it. My biggest gripe is the price per month compared to the competition and their app is more awkward to use the interface compared to ESPN's, but it's also not the terrible experience everyone tries to paint it as. Again, I'm just one opinion.

Go Duke's!

See the bolded above.

I often mute the TV during commercials to not lose my sanity hearing the same commercial seventeen times in one half.

The best part is that it's almost (or exactly) the same jingle as one of the other advertisers!

I rationalize it by saying “how much would I spend on a few tickets to go to the games?” and it makes me feel a little better. Even though that money would go to JMU and not Flo 03-banghead

Either way, I’ve been enjoying watching the basketball Dukes and feel JMU football starved. It’s a lot more enjoyable paying when the product on the hardwood and field is good.

I have Dish and am showing the game on tomorrow but unfortunately it also shows as being blacked out in my area. Not sure if it’s because I’m in Pennsylvania or some other dumb blackout rule. Hopefully that changes by game time or somebody posts another way to watch it other than Flo.

Can I interest you in some literature about Reddit Streams? lol

Another option though, would be to use a VPN to change your location to somewhere closer to the DC market where NBC Sports may not have a blackout.

Might actually sign up this year since all sports are in the same season. Still a horrible situation for our sports teams to be on a platform nobody is going to watch, and I’m still just super opposed to paying more than the cost of ESPN+ when I’m only going to watch our one school play. Madizone had evolved into a really good product, and I wouldn’t mind paying JMU directly for it. I’ll probably just sit out the game Saturday; I’ll check the boards to see how it goes.

I feel your pain and feel the same way. I have resisted re-subscribing to Flo and even though it's been tough missing the MBB games in particular (during this season that see them at the top of the CAA), for the most part I'm happy with my decision. I do look forward to watching the FB game tomorrow via NBC Sports Washington Plus. It's one of those rare times I'm glad I also have Comcast-Xfinity because I doubt my YouTubeTV subscription will offer the "Plus" alternate channel for NBC-SW.

Flo is overpriced and not a great product, but in reality for the year it cost me less than going to Harrisonburg to see one game.

Do I wish we were on the ESPN platform? yes. Would I choose to buy it versus missing games? yes

I guess part of the benefit is the Conference Semis are on CBS Sportsnet - and we might even make the Semis this year! 02-13-banana

Are those conference semis on CBS Sports and NOT on Flo? Or is it on both like when JMU gets games televised on their own. CBS Sports isn’t on my TV package.

It looks to me like the semis and final are only on CBS Sports Network, which is technically separate from CBS Sports.

At least in my case the difference is significant, because I will need to add that channel specifically for additional cost or find a restaurant/bar that will show the games.

Really feels like poor decisions were made with all of this, would be much simpler if the whole thing was on ESPN platforms. It says a lot when our own hardcore fans are avoiding Flo.

In my post CBS Sports was referencing CBS SN, not the OTA CBS channel.
