RE: CAA Signs Media Partnership with FloSports
I have a couple of corrections to what I posted yesterday now that the CAA posted the schedule at https://caasports.com/calendar.aspx?path=mbball

Hofstra at Northeastern will be on Thursday January 9, not Saturday January 11. It will be a doubleheader on TV with Drexel at Towson at 6:00 P.M. and Hofstra at Northeastern at 8:00 P.M.

Towson at Northeastern will be on Sunday March 1, not Saturday February 29. That will be the only weekend game on CBSSN. CBSSN will not show any games on Saturdays.

That is 11 total on CBSSN. The CAA in 2012-13 showed 15 regular season national telecasts on NBCSN. 8 were shown in 2013-14, 7 in 2014-15, and just 6 in 2015-16.

That's a respectable number then. The 15 national games in 2012-2013 took place when the CAA was at it's peak, right after VCU left and George Mason and ODU were still in the league, and Drexel had just come off of a fantastic season. It was also the first year of games on NBCSN and I think it was also the year of the NHL lockout, so NBC was trying to fill the programming void.

https://caasports.com/news/2019/9/24/caa...twork.aspx has the CBSSN schedule. These three games that I said 7:00 P.M. for will be at 6:30 P.M. according to that page:

January 2: James Madison at UNC Wilmington
January 23: Delaware at Hofstra

Any one with inside knowledge on whether CAA will end this partnership and hopefully move to ESPN?

I don't have inside knowledge but according to this press release, it appears that the agreement runs until the end of NEXT season, 2022-2023. While I'm not in favor of the Flo deal, I would like to see the CAA use the next year to explore ALL options for a broadcast partner that would expand the league's exposure. The favorite viewpoint on these boards is to "switch to ESPN because that's what everybody else does". If ESPN is the best option, I'm fine with it. But I think that there might be some other creative options out there that might actually give our league more exposure than just doing what everybody else does.

I pay for ESPN Plus and Paramount+ and get Peacock for free from Cox, so all of those would save me from paying for Flo. Disney+ might be the most popular for kids, but Paramount+ has old Nickelodeon shows. Peacock and Paramount+ provide content other than sports.
