Toledo gas the best facilities, top 3 most talent and top 3 fan support in the league with no trips to the dance. I suppose last year is a pass with how dominant UB was.... We still shouldn't have lost to NIU in the quarters though.
^^^ Agree 100%
I can see why you're frustrated and I agree with you about facilities, talent and support... but dream on. He just won 25 games and he's under contract until 2023. I think your expectations are a bit unrealistic if 25 wins and an NIT appearance on the heels of 23 wins and a MAC finals appearance is underperforming.
When you have a weak OOC schedule like K has done through the years, 23 or 25 wins should easily be attainable...
He has not won either of his NIT games either...
Pretty much the same type of resume he had while at Wisconsin(Green Bay). Plenty of 20 win seasons, but no dance...
He is a good guy, who will not embarrass the university, but for some reason falters in big game/championship scenarios... I think if he does not come through in that respect, in the next couple of years, he will be gone...
Actually, TK's non-conference schedules have been pretty tough overall during his Toledo tenure, in my opinion. This past season's schedule turned out to be not that strong, but it had several defending mid major champions and looked like a good schedule on paper, but some teams underperfomed, such as Middle Tennesse State who is usually very good, but had a rebuilding year under a new coaching staff and Penn who suffered several injuries.

Fans from other MAC teams must be scratching their heads to see a Toledo fan suggest that our highly successful coach should be fired. I have never loved Coach K for reasons unrelated to his won-loss record, but no way does he lose his job in the near future.

My thoughts exactly.
Didn't his UT team lose to UB in the 2018 MAC finals? Like 2nd best team out of 12 and losing only to a powerhouse team.

I still think that home-game mandate hurts the overall strength of all teams out of conference schedules. Home games are great, but that very much limits the average quality of the OOC schedules. I don't advocate going on the road 12-15 times and playing a murderers row but it's hard to find the balance of strength of schedule when you have to have so many home games and can't afford to buy them.
