Coach Brannen's Players Moving Forward
Wasn't Martin the guy that Cronin was pimping as a guy that could contribute actual meaningful playing time as he emerged as an upperclassman? Not that we should be satisfied With that, but getting someone to split time with LoJo might result in him leaving.

Point guards on the transfer list immediately available...

JoJo Anderson JR 6-3 170 Nevada [2.7 Stars]
Kyle Brown RS JR 5-10 150 Texas A&M–Corpus Christi [3 Stars]
Jaevin Cumberland RS JR 6-2 179 Oakland [2 Stars]
C.J. Davis RS JR 6-2 207 Columbia [2.5 Stars]
Lindsey Drew SR 6-4 180 Nevada [3 Stars]
Bakari Evelyn RS JR 6-2 180 Valparaiso [3 Stars]
Jahshire Hardnett RS JR 5-11 170 Brigham Young [2.5 Stars]
Max Hazzard RS JR 5-10 165 UC Irvine [3 Stars]
Tommy McCarthy RS JR 6-0 175 Harvard [3 Stars]
Kendall Small RS JR 6-2 180 Pacific [3.7 Stars]

Of that group I'd only take Lindsey Drew from Nevada and Cumberland even though I don't believe Cumberland played a minute at the 1 last season.

Of the centers that were listed before, only the guy from Utah would be halfway acceptable for me. I don't know if Smits would've been considered at all but he's apparently already down to a final 3 of NC State, Arizona State and Butler.

This is why I was hoping to have at least one Assistant in place. Going to be tough for Brannen to do everything. Find Staff, convince current players they should stay, recruit HS players during recruiting period, recruit Transfers, and everything else that he needs to do as a new HC at UC.

He'd come with a bit more baggage and a lot less experience than any of our other sit-out transfers in recent memory. Makes you wonder if LJ is likely out the door if this is the type of player we're recruiting.

He was originally an Arizona commit that got caught up in the recent FBI investigation involving the university (don't know the outcome of what happened). From what I read Villanova was not a good basketball fit for him (he prefers to play fast, Villanova plays slow) and there was a lot of turmoil for him within the program from early in the season.

Apparently fit/role on the team...

Villanova 5-Star Transfer Jahvon Quinerly

Several major schools have emerged as potential destinations for Villanova five-star point guard transfer Jahvon Quinerly.

Quinerly, one of the top recruits in the 2018 class, didn’t find a great role with the Wildcats during his freshman season, so he transferred out.

The former top recruit will likely have to sit out the 2019-20 season. He’ll then have three years of eligibility.

According to StockRisers.com, several major programs have reached out to the former Wildcats’ guard.

Quinerly, a New Jersey native, was ranked the No. 7 PG and No. 29 overall recruit in the country coming out of high school.

The five-star recruit averaged 3.2 points and 0.9 assists per game at Villanova in 2018-19.

At Least We're On The Attempt To Get List

RE: Coach Brannen's Players Moving Forward
Coach Brannen continues to at least swing for the fences. He gets the right assistants and continues to target these types of players I think we will eventually land some. Especially those looking to transfer after a year where they didn’t get playing time and may fill a hole in our lineup.

If Jarron leaves, there is no guarantee Logan will stay or Samari will enroll. The entire situation seems fluid right now and I'm hoping Brannen will begin to put some of the puzzle pieces together this coming week--either with his staff or player commitments.

And this isn't a criticism of him at all; it's just the reality of regime change today in high major college basketball.

We need a center to replace Brooks. Here are a few immediately available on the transfer list:

Barret Benson JR 6-10 240 Northwestern [3.3 Stars]
Jordan Dallas RS JR 6-10 220 Weber State [2.5 Stars]
Daniel Giddens RS JR 6-11 235 Alabama [4 Stars]

Derrik Smits RS JR 7-2 240 Valparaiso [3 Stars]
Yanni Wetzell RS JR 6-10 235 Vanderbilt [2 Stars]

I have no clue which dudes fit Brannen's system best or if there is any prior relationship or links to Brannen but they're out there to recruit.

Good research on who's available.

These type posts (line ups for next year) always reminds me of Chatter {RIP}

Sounds like this week there will be a lot more clarity as to the coaching staff and player movement. No details, but it's sounds like this will be a "news" week.
