He wins with this but the number of posters indicating they'd leave if he kept dominating every thread made the decision one I support.

In other words a bunch of snowflakes made empty threats of leaving because they can't be bothered to find the ignore function. Glad we preserved the safe space for them.

He knew what he was doing. He posted that before he was banned (obviously), but as we were trying to talk to him to prevent him from getting banned. He was pushing harder with every effort we made with him. I've said it twice before but I am confident he wanted to get banned. I think he's pretty proud of how quickly he stirred everything back up and forced our hands and I think he's incredibly happy to be reading all the people angry about his ban.

I agree, sounds like he definitely wanted to get banned and is probably enjoying this thread. You guys did what you had to do. Still, reading Bulldog's posts and watching this situation unfold has provided peak entertainment on Bearcat Banter, and I've been laughing my a$$ off. 04-cheers

He had a limited shelf life. It takes to much work to write purposely bad for an extended period of time. That's the result of a Jesuit education.

I think most of us get where you are coming from mark, but there is something bothersome about it and I think MM tapped into it and how it can be used as a tool against free speech. Did you actually suggest the "ignore" function to them and how did they respond? (Speaking for myself I wish there were a "translate" function for bulldog's posts but I digress.) Much of the point of boards like this is to give opinions, popular or not, and then have them debated. One lesson I'm still in the process of learning that obviously applies to bulldog, but also to others is you don't always have to have the last word and even if you do have the last word, it doesn't make or convince people that you are right. I think bulldog proves this. Make your point. Clarify/expand if necessary but don't just keep posting the same opinion (especially in thread after thread). People will either agree or disagree. Use the post rating tool if you are so inclined for posts that are informative or well stated (plus) and/or for posts that are just argumentative restatements of points already made (minus).

RE: HANDLERS
You guys didn’t see all of the pms. That’s all. He is just defiant and belligerent. And I went to bat for him a few days ago when he asked to come back.

I have to laugh when people say they enjoyed the inside info he brought. I can’t think of one credible thing he brought.

Regardless. We didn’t succumb to people complaining, in fact I told people who pm’d me to just put him on ignore. But the constant spamming and trolling and pushing everyone’s buttons was obviously not any better than his last appearance here, so you can blame me for getting rid of him. We’re looking out for the overall greater good of our experience here. We put up with a lot. Sorry if we draw the line in a different place than others but it is what it is. Our “jobs” are pretty thankless and that’s fine. I promise you our hearts are in the right place.

And to my knowledge, we don’t have the ability to impose a limit on # of posts per day. But that sounds like a great idea if we could.

Out of curiosity... How old are you 2?

Only reason I'm asking, is because it wasn't long ago that people lost their ever loving minds if a woman wore pants in public. Not to mention that another generation is responsible for raising the snowflake generation.

Just sayin.

You mean Bulldog doesn't have an endless supply of cousins that are 5-star football and basketball recruits?

Bulldog should put all of his info and stream of conscious thoughts on twitter. I, for one, would definitely follow such an entertaining account.
