RE: Belt series April 18-20
GSU still hasn’t learned not to pitch to Ethan Wilson. After hitting a grand slam in the 6th, he sends a fast ball over the wall in the 8th, his 11th of the season. Not bad for a freshman.

Wonder if UTA's AD is getting ready to fire his head coach.
Well, Coach Thomas does not have as good a winning record as the former basketball coach that AD Baker fired. However, the team is doing well at this point. We beat TCU 6-3 tonight (Tuesday, April 16th), and also have recent wins against DBU and Baylor. We're 25-13 overall and 11-4 in conference, riding atop the western division standings. But it's early - anything can happen, and usually does.
the mavs have done well lately but being in an area of tremendous high school talent to recruit from and having good facilities, the program should be pretty good every season and they havent been. They need to play like this all the time and give TCU more of a run for their money in the area.

RE: Belt series April 18-20
Benton continues to be a thorn in the side of the Red Woofs, driving in 2 (as he did in yesterday’s game in the 7th) in the B 1st to give the Bobcats an early 2-0 lead.
Red Woofs go yard with 1 on to tie it T2nd.

Even when we beat TCU, the local papers don't mention the score. (It was 6-3.) I wish we had an Arlington-based newspaper or other media to trumpet our wins over Baylor, DBU and TCU. Even our pathetic student paper seems uninterested. The Dallas News covers SMU, BigXII, Texas, OU, TAMU and even UNT, but not UTA, except when there is a new rumor about football. The Startlegram covers TCU, BigXII, Texas, OU, Texas Wesleyan and national news, but not UTA. Perhaps when/if we get football, we'll get as much ink as UNT or TWU.

Bobcats sweep the Red Woofs to keep pace with UTA.
And the Mavericks sweep the Cajuns to keep pace ahead of TxSt. Next, after our midweek against TAMU, is a road trip to visit the Mountaineers. Hopefully, both of the Texas teams will still be in the chase when we get to that last weekend series in San Marcos.

We're only 1.5 games out of the division, which would mean the 2-seed.

GS since entering the conference has a winning record against both Coastal Carolina and UL. Will we get the South Alabama monkey of four backs?
Aww who am I kidding, no we won't.
