Still don't understand how they were willing to pay $8 mill/year for Calipari but wouldn't pay the one time, $8 mill buyout for Dixon, with a $5 mill/year contract.

I thought the same. $8/5 = $1.6 + $5 = $6.6 per year so to them Cal worth $8 but Dixon not worth $6.6?

And Cal was $8/year plus the buyout. Also, Mick got 6 years.

My conclusion on all of this (LOL) is that Mick will be working for a new AD before the ink on his contract is dry.
