For SMU James Pyle is a walk-on and Jimmy Whitt is almost certainly gone either to the NBA or as a graduate transfer. We hope to replace him with Tajzmel Sherman.

you are the second smu fan to say that and that isnt true.

when he declared his note makes it very obvious he is coming back..talks about seeing "the process". never mentions a goodbye and thanks the smu fans for the support...

seeing how he isnt even a top 150 prospect, and there are less than 70 that get drafted, he isnt sticking in the draft ..

is there evidence he is leaving? or is that smu fans dont like jank so they think everything good they have that has a chance to leave willl definitely leave???

Small detail...Chaplin from USF is 180lbs (not 280). That would be a big SG/wing.

Believe me, I really hope he comes back. I just want SMU to win. Ideally he comes back, we dump some of our dead weight and add Tajzmel Sherman. If we miraculously pull that off we would be decent next season.

Tulane is losing Caleb Daniels to transfer. He would have been a 20 a night kind of guy.

Tulane has nothing heading into next season.

Whatever happen with all that support SMU was getting 2-3 years ago... Was that support only for while Larry Brown was head coach??

Not sure what you mean, Jankovich has the same support that Larry Brown enjoyed as we have the same facilities, admission standards, and are in the same conference. Attendance has dropped and enthusiasm has declined, but that is to be expected given back to back 6-12 seasons in conference play accompanied by atrocious recruiting. Fans need to see a positive trend and that applies to any program.

Additionally, our administration has gone out of its way to piss off students and alumni regarding seating so that has exacerbated the attendance issues. We need to see something from the team in order to re-energize the fan base.

Fixed walk-on status.

Will look at other changes when possible. Presently, traveling with my 84 old Dad - a full time job (but I love it).

Update:

No one is 100% out yet. Daniels, Crabtree, and Sehic are all in the portal, but none are ruling out a return.
