As of the time of this piece, he’s currently averaging 18.5 rebounds per 36 minutes. That average places him behind Maine Red Claws reserve John Bohannon, who is averaging a league-best 18.9 rebounds per 36 among G Leaguers that have played at least three games. Another metric that Cacok finishes second in would be Total Rebound Percentage (TRB%) as he’s currently sitting at 25.1%.
Although he’s trailing Bohannon in TRB%, the 6’7 forward is on a historic pace. If Cacok can continue on this run, he’d maintain a better average than any player in G League history.

They lost 105-102, and he never entered the game. ESPN has him listed as a center, which would put him 3rd on the depth chart behind McGee and Howard while Anthony Davis is nursing an ankle injury.
He may not have played, but he was paid like he did! We enjoy watching him play, but never forget that right now this is his J.O.B. and he's making a pretty good income doing something he loves. One step at a time. He may never be a starter, and for all we know become a journeyman player, but lot's of players have made a very good living doing just that.
On a two way contract, his salary is pro rated depending on the team he plays on that day. His G league salary is right at $80,000. But his NBA minimum salary is $582,000. With 82 games per season, that means he made about $7.000 sitting on the floor, on the Lakers roster, watching his teammates after warming up with Lebron James, on team that may compete for an NBA title. Not bad for a 23 year old.
If he ends up spending the max 45 days on the Lakers roster as a 2 way, that's $315,000 plus whatever he makes on his G league play(pro rated at $2,900 per game. 28 game season. They've already played 15 games, so season is 1/2 over and he's already made $43.500). Based on all that, he'll probably make about $360,000 this year as a 2 way instead of $80,000 with the G league team.
Contract isn't guaranteed, but it is for 2 years.

Nice math. One could be forgiven for assuming that if they are resting Davis's ankle, it will be for more than one game

If all he did was showed up that one night, he made an extra $5k over his G league pay. So he's already up to $85k this year.

I didn't realize his contract got pro rated for NBA games, that's a nice chunk of change for DC. I'm ready for him to get his chance though.

Me too. I really think he could provide steady output. Even if it's just like 5/5 in 10-15 mins
I'd like to buy a Lakers Cacok jersey, but the chances of him getting traded are still out there. I'll wait and see.
Either way, it's incredibly exciting that he's got a chance at getting NBA minutes. He'd be just the 3rd player in UNCW history to make a Pro appearance, and the first since March 16, 1997 when Matt Fish appeared for the last time in his NBA career, with the Miami Heat.

OR, you could see this as a way to collect his jerseys everywhere he goes.
