Exclamation AAF Live - Birmingham at Memphis
Brandon Silvers with his first start. Just drove for a touchdown and tossed a 2-PT conversion. Game is tied.

Once people get more familiar with the players and teams they will enjoy it more. It just takes 3 or 4 games.

Silvers is having a good game. Maybe he can hold off Manziel.

Edit: Silvers ties it up, 25-25 with 28 seconds left in the 4th.

After having Manziel play a few series, Brandon Silvers finishes the last 4 drives of the game and leads Memphis to a comeback victory in OT to beat Birmingham.

Easy to say Silvers will likely be the starter for Memphis now...

He finished the game 24/36, 266 yards, and 2 TD... and didn't even play the whole game.

Probably Johnny's "Last Chance" in Pro Football. IF a comeback/second chance is truly what he wants, I wish him well.

RE: AAF Live - Birmingham at Memphis
The announcers were having a wet dream thinking Johnny would be on the field. Even after Silvers was scoring TD’s and bringing his team back, all they could talk about was, “ We could get to Manziel on the field next”.

Silvers shut them up, and should keep that starting position.

They were extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to Silvers. The fans even booed Silvers several times. They only seemed to care about the spectacle of manziel madness and not about actually winning games.

Also of note, former Troy standout DE Jonathan Massaquoi got a sack on Silvers last night. Some Troy on Troy action. Wes Saxton (South Alabama) had a few catches as well. Not sure of any other SBC guys out there. Outside of the SBC, Trent Richardson is a beast. He may be getting a call up soon.

I think Mr. Silvers and stAte's Chris Odom got to visit in Silver's backfield recently as well. Fun to see Belt guys doing well in the new league.

I've always enjoyed arena football, but the AAF has been a better off-season fix than I expected.

The arena league was on the verge of being somewhat mainstream back in the mid 2000s whenever they had a video game deal with EA Sports, Sunday afternoon slot on NBC and had celebrity team owners super involved with the league and promoting it (Tim McGraw, Jerry Jones, Jon Bon Jovi, John Elway, etc). But then a dispute with the player's union along with the sudden resignation of David Baker as commissioner virtually imploded the league from within (a lot of people probably don't even realize that the 'current' arena league is actually the former AF2, the developmental league that was started back in 2000, as they bought the rights and assumed the identity of the AFL today).

The game just hasn't been the same since and I don't think they'll be able to get back to the level they were nearly at.

The AAF is akin to minor league football. Why wouldn't people want to see Johnny Manziel? In the time Manziel was in, he didn't look that bad either. Much better than he did in Canada.

Side note: The center for Memphis is turrible.
